| Our Mission |
| To identify, develop and fund, a full range of
human services that meet critical community needs, with help and advice from Pike County stakeholders. |

| We Make An Impact in Your Community! |

We allocated $105,000 in 2007 and a total of $589,000 since
2000 to various organizations to support human services programs exclusively in Pike County. Allocations for 2007 |
|
|
Provided 285 volunteers at our Day of Caring in 2007 that helped
21 local nonprofit and human services agencies for a total of 1,700 hours. |
|
|
Collected almost 90 usable pints of blood at our 9/11 Blood
Drive in 2007 which helped over 290 patients. |
|
|
Our on-line community services directory, www.PikePaHelp.org, has helped many people in need find the services that are available to them.
The directory is also used by other agencies to help thier clients. On average, there are over 200 page views of
the directory per day. |
|
|
Our Community Ramp fund has helped many residents of Pike County
with disabilities get a wheel chair ramp for thier home. |
|
|
The Pike County Emergency Reserve Fund we established helped
many families in need during the floods in 2005 and 2006. |
|
|
We also partner with many local businesses and organizations
for other programs such as food and clothing drives. |

| Upcoming Events: |
June 1st - 6th Annual Pike County Family Community Expo
Sponsored by the United Way of Pike County, and admission
is free! The Expo will be held rain or shine from 1-4 pm at the Speers Lodge at YMCA Camp Speers-Eljabar, located
on Nichecronk Road off Route 739 in Dingmans Ferry, PA. Social service agencies, early childhood care providers,
and other medical, non-profit and community organizations will be present information about their services. Refreshments
will be available from Camp Speers-Eljabar for a small fee. In addition to exhibitors, the free entertainment
will include a visit from the Raptor Center, pony rides, and performances from local children's groups!

NEW DATE:
June 16th - Second Annual Golf Classic Tournament
The United Way of Pike County is holding our Second Annual
Golf Classic Tournament at the Country Club at Woodloch Springs in Hawley, PA on June 16th starting at 11:30am.
The fundraiser includes golfing, lunch, a putting contest, a Hole-in-1 contest, tee-off, silent auction, cocktail
hour, and an awards dinner.
