| May 10, 2008 United Way Golf Tournament Postponed until June 16th Golf Classic Webpage The weatherman has caused the The United Way of Pike County to change the date for its Second Annual Golf Classic Tournament at the Country Club at Woodloch Springs in Hawley, Pennsylvania to Monday, June 16, 2008. It's not too late to register to play the beautiful and challenging Woodloch course and, at the same time, support the United Way. A fee of $125 provides you with a delicious and bountiful hot or cold lunch, a new Cutter and Buck golf shirt, a round of golf on the nationally recognized Woodloch course, and ends with cocktails and an awards dinner (salmon or prime rib, anyone???) prepared in the true sumptuous and generous Woodloch style. There will also be many wonderful items that will be available for raffle prizes. Tickets for the theater, gift certificates for dining in our local restaurants, and overflowing gift baskets are just an example of what could be won! If you would just like the opportunity to be a part of a fun-filled evening, you could join the golfers for dinner for a fee of $50. In addition to the highlights mentioned, there will also be putting and tee-off contests, and, not one but three "hole in one" prizes. The first is a New Holland Tractor provided by Tractor John and Krempasky Equipment. The second is a Harley Davidson Motorcycle provided by Baer's Sport Center. The third is a Bass Fishing Boat provided by Seaman's Marine. The United Way is grateful to all our generous contributors. There are so many chances to be a winner! "We are so grateful to the Pike County businesses and residents who are supporting the United Way and its efforts for the community. The golf tournament is a fun way to help the United Way reach its goal," stated Tom Regenski, tournament co-chair and a United Way Board Member. John Pillar, the PGA Director of Golf at Woodloch Springs, had this to say, "The format and social environment here at Woodloch Springs are a perfect combination for this type of event to raise money for a great cause. We encourage all abilities, whether beginner or advanced, to come out and enjoy this wonderful day and support the United Way of Pike County." Even if your game isn't great, the view sure is! The par-5 signature 14th hole requires a dramatic 220-yard carry over "Hells Gate Gorge," a 200 foot deep chasm with rushing water at its base. You want to see this! The May showers have made it possible for you to still register or celebrate with us at this event.
